Her SHORT STORIES have appeared in Glimmer Train, Northwest Review, American Literary Review, The Madison Review, and the fiction anthologies Side Show and Paraspheres.
With playwright Sandra de Helen Kasten co-wrote THE CLUE IN THE OLD BIRDBATH a musical theatre spoof of the Nancy Drew mystery series. The play enjoyed long runs at Chicago's Stage Left theatre and Body Politic theatre, and has been produced around the country, notably at Portland Women's Theatre, and At the Foot of the Mountain theatre in Minneapolis.
Kasten's unpublished works include a short story collection, The Teaching Test; and Blunderbuss, a book of fairy tales for adults. She has two other novels in progress: Intensive English and Better Days.
